Lussuria Proibita (24x36 Original Acrylic)

24x36 Original Acrylic painting on stretched canvas and completed with satin varnish. Lussuria Proibita is Italian for "forbidden Lust". There is no religious meaning behind this painting but rather is symbolic of a love that is never meant to be. I often find myself falling in love easily. Even though I know deep down inside that there is no way possible for the woman I am attempting to persuade to have a long term relationship. The lion on top of the mountain represents the high standards I set for myself that most cannot bare and often resist. That is the reason for the Angel elavating itself to the top of the mountain. It's symbolizing two beings that come from completely different world's that have no idea how to coexist.
