This is an original acrylic painting on stretched canvas and is protected with satin varnish. The demensions are 24x36, it is framed, wired, and ready to hang. This is one of my first major projects on a larger canvas. Obviously I was going for something bold. What inspired the painting was a picutre I saw of the wavy red sand in the desert. Then of course my imagination begin to take over. This painting was completed in 2019. What I think is really cool about this painting is that considering I'm relevantly new to the art world, the veiwer can clearly see the progression of my technique from one year to the next. It's funny how you envision something and how many steps it takes to work towards that vision. This painting would look completly different today if I were to repaint it today. That being said, I 'm extremely proud of this piece and put a lot of time and effort into it. What I love most is that it encapsulates my early technique and takes me back to my first artshow in the summer of 2019 when I displayed this as my centerpiece, and demonstrates a major step towards my ultimate artistic vision.
